Fire + Ice.

A hotel design inspired by Robert Frost’s poem “Fire and Ice” that uses these natural elements to symbolise the human emotions of desire and hatred.

It expresses the need in life for balance and that too much of anything has the ability to harm. The relaxed colour palette of warm and cool hues, natural textures, along with an emphasis on sustainability, functionality and innovation all combine to create a luxury hotel experience where one can rest and rejuvenate.

Working collaboratively within a team, we had full creative control to produce an innovative and functional design, that was both practical and aspirational with a forward focus on a new sense of normality post Covid.

“Some say the world will end in fire,

Some say in ice.

From what I’ve tasted of desire

I hold with those who favor fire.

But if it had to perish twice,

I think I know enough of hate

To know that for destruction ice

Is also great and would suffice.”

- Robert Frost 1874-1963
